Crommelins P75 EX Gen Sets
Cromellins has released a new range of generators powered by Robin Subaru EX series OHC engines. EX engines use a chain-driven overhead cam (OHC) to deliver more power, easier starting and quieter operation than other engines in their class. OHC technology allows the EX35 & EX40’s intake and exhaust valves to be positioned to offer lower resistance for the air/fuel mixture flow optimizing performance. Designed with a highly efficient pent-roof combustion chamber, the engines are able to utilize a high compression ratio to produce high power and torque. Powered by a 8.9kW (12hp) EX35DH, the 7kVA P75 has a 6kW max output. The 8.5kVA P85 and P85SE use a 10.4kW (14hp) EX40DH engine and deliver a maximum of 6.8kW. Crommelins Generators feature a two year manufacturers warranty and Subaru engines feature a three year manufacturers warranty. Reel Solutions for Workshop Hoses
Tripping over hoses around farm sheds or workshop should be a thing of the past following the release of a new range of retractable hose reels that avoid damage to hoses and fittings through driving over them and go a long way towards solving OHS issues to do with loose hoses snaking across floors. Top of Pathway’s new range is a heavy duty retractable reel enclosed in a steel housing – ideal for a typical farm machinery workshop. It can be supplied either with a 15m X 3/8” air hose, or an 8m chemical resistant hose for spraying water and agricultural chemicals, or a 9m pressure hose suitable for oil. Retractable reels are also available with polypropylene housings and swivel wall mounts for air, chemicals or water hoses. The range includes manual rewind reels, culminating in a fire-fighting unit with a 30m high-flow ¾” hose, capable of 10Bar (145psi). GoldAcres’ Pathway division distributes the new hose reels from: 1-3 Morang Crescent, Mitchell Park 3355; (03) 5342-6317 F: (03) 5342-6308 W: www.goldacres.com.au.

<font size="6">Integrated Hose for Aussie Blaster </font>
Integrated Hose for Aussie Blaster
Aussie Pumps have released a new version of the company’s 140bar (2000psi) pressure cleaner. The new unit features an integrated heavy duty hose reel. Experience shows the safe stowage of high pressure hose presents a challenge to operators. Careless handling of the high pressure hose, a very necessary part of the pressure cleaner, can result in accidents leading to serious physical injury. Built around a Bertolini pump delivering 12L/min (3.2gal/min) the water blaster is powered by a Honda 6.5hp GX200 and has its own trolley with four 10” pneumatic tyres for easy transport. The trolley includes a protective roll cage. The combination of flow and pressure enables the machine to carry out difficult cleaning tasks in property maintenance, small machine wash down and concrete finishing. Safety is ensured by “ASP” valve preventing pressure spikes and thermal dumping (even if left on extended bypass). Aussie Pumps is located at: 7 Gladstone Road, Castle Hill 2154; (02) 9894 4144 F: (02) 9894 4240 W: www.aussiepumps.com.au

<font size="6">Protex iFS Breaker Release </font>
Protex iFS Breaker Release
The new Protex iFS supersedes conventional RCDs for generators, which are designed to detect a current imbalance to earth greater than 30mA before initiating isolation. To be effective, they require a reliable earth connection which is often difficult to achieve when using a mobile generator. Protex iFS is a superior electrical safety device ideal for floating systems such as mobile power sources. Accredited to AS/NZS61008, it is faster and more responsive. The Protex iFS Breaker Release is unique in that it requires no earth connection to work effectively. While present RCDs limit exposed to a fault to 30ms, Protex iFS not only offers 5ms isolation but uses a methodology that also limits fault current magnitude. Protex iFS need no external earth stake to be connected as it uses the earth line as a sensor to detect faults, dramatically improving operational efficiencies. The superior speed and lower fault currents available with the Protex iFS Breaker Release offers users not only increased protection but greatly reduced rates of injury and equipment damage in the event of an electrical fault. Protex iFS incorporates a constant self-test function turning off if internal component failure is detected. It automatically adapts to 110/240V (AC range 180-280V) supply. Isolation comes from 40V and 5mA fault current. Crommelins has first Australian rights to incorporate the Protex iFS kits to their range of hire/construction pack generators made at: 139 Welshpool Road, Welshpool 6106 (PO Box 352, Bentley 6102); (08) 9350 5588 F: (08) 9451 6381 W: www.crommelins.com.au.

<font size="6">Enerpac Polly Dolly </font>
Enerpac Polly Dolly
“Poly-Dolly” is a tough, light, ergonomic mobile dispensing station for 205L (55gal) drums providing optimum protection against injuries. It not only provides 24-hour protection against spills and leaks, but also features a design to protect workers moving drums around industrial plants. Weighing just 44.5kg (98lbs) but with a load-bearing capacity of UDL 270kg (600lbs), Polly Dolly is designed to help combat slip, fall and trip accidents that now account for more than 25,000 compensation cases a year in Australia. Ergonomics ensure workers use their correct major muscle groups to support and propel the load from a correct distance, rather than straining smaller muscle groups by being hunched over too close to the load. The rolled-grip handles make for easy tipping and transportation throughout the workplace. Easy loading is facilitated by a U-shaped barrel platform and double-looped strap. A lightweight design, kick plate and rolled-grip handles make for easy and safer tipping. A patented large 304L covered sump means that if a spill occurs, it can be safely removed and decanted. Poly-Dolly is part of the extensive Enpac safety range distributed by Enware Safe-Equipment, 9-11 Endeavour Road, Caringbah 2229; (02) 9525 9511 F: (02) 9525 9536 W: www.enware.com.au
