New Crommelins Light Tower /font>
Crommelins has released a new lighting tower that attaches to Subaru 3200iS and 4300iS Silent Inverter generators. Many portable lighting towers can have fluctuating light intensity due to unstable power generation, which can result in inconsistent lighting and shadowing.
However, these gen sets provide excellent power for the tower due to their low noise output and superior inverter technology. The Inverter control system achieves high quality output with less fluctuation and wave distortion and allows the engine speed to be automatically adjusted in direct proportion to the load applied maximising fuel efficiency, while maintaining a constant 240V (50Hz) supply. The tower/generator combination meets EPA Tier II, CARB Tier II, LEMA and EU emission regulations.
The mast rotates 360¢ª and can reach a maximum 4.6m. It carries 5 x 500W halogen lights that rotate 3 and is raised by a manually operated pneumatic pump.

Jonsered Spin-Start Saws /font>
Jonsered has introduced its Spin Start chainsaw range. Spin Start is new easy-start feature. The main component is a spring-assisted starter that helps turn the flywheel when it is most difficult (eg cold). Other features include an air purge and decompression valve (on the larger model). The result is reduced compression when starting. This increases user convenience and operating efficiency.
There are three saws in the Jonsered Spin Start range: CS2138S (42cc/1.7kW), CS2141S (41cc/2kW) & CS2145S (45cc/2.2kW). All feature Jonsered’s Turbo Air cleaning system for longer intervals between filter cleans, smoother operation, steel-spring vibration dampening and an inertia-activated chain brake.
The saws are powerful all-round units giving pro qualities and easy to start at a competitive price.
Jonsered equipment is distributed by Husqvarna, Corner Debenham & Chivers Roads, Somersby (Locked Bag 18, Gosford) 2250; (02) 4372 1500 F: (02) 4372 1322 W: www.jonsered.com.au

Kohler Residential Generators /font>
Engineered Products Group (EPG) has released Kohler Engine’s Residential Generator range in Australia. Designed specifically for Homeowners and Small Business Owners, the new range has features including easy installation, high power output and quiet operation. Operating at about 65dB(A), the compact unit is no louder than a traditional vacuum cleaner.
As power supplies become less reliable small-business owners appreciate the benefits of having worry-free, non-stop emergency protection from power outages. Having an automatic generator power up within seconds of a power failure can protect computers, security systems and other power-sensitive amenities.
The new Kohler Gen Sets do not require a concrete pad to be constructed as the have a convenient built-in mounting pad. Smaller than a typical air-conditioning unit, the new Kohler range is available in 8.5kW or 12kW outputs (fuelled by either LP or natural gas).
EPG distributes Kohler engines and generators from: 31 Powers Road, Seven Hills 2147; (02) 9830 2200 F: (02) 9830 2383 W: www.epg.com.au.

Stihl MS441 (220w-1c)/font>
The new Stihl 441 chainsaw engines feature low fuel consumption, while having sufficient reserves of power to tackle the most demanding of jobs – including big timber. Computer controlled ignition timing delivers faster acceleration and easier starting, as well as better peak performance during heavy cutting. This is made possible by Stihl’s “Four-channel” technology and “stratified scavenging” systems, which reduces exhaust emissions by over 50%. Four overflow channels swirl the fuel-air mix before ignition, giving optimum combustion for highly efficient performance. The result is lower fuel consumption and high torque across a broad rpm range. During the flushing process, a fuelfree layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh load in the crankcase. This cushion reduces the fuel content of the discharge from flushing in the charge cycle – reducing the effects on the user and the environment. The new engines have up to 20% lower fuel consumption than conventional two-strokes, and already meet the requirements of the coming EU Stage II emission standard.
The chainsaws have a 70.4cm3 displacement generating 4.1kW (5.6hp) and incorporate a new anti-vibration system that cuts levels by 25% without sacrificing control.
The saw uses guidebars between 40-50cm. Stihl is located at: 5 Kingston Park Court (PO Box 74 MDA) Knoxfield 3180; (03) 9215-6666 F: (03) 9763 4423 W: www.stihl.com.au

The 937 is fitted with 3/8” LP chain while the 941CX has .325”chain. Oleo-Mac’s “Easy On” and “Primer” devices combine with electrically adjusted digital coil to make the units easy to start.
