Full-Finger AV VibraGuard Gloves/font>
Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) generally comes from prolonged contact with vibrating equipment like OPE. Untreated it causes permanent damage to sensory and motor nerves, muscles bones and circulation.
Ansell has released a full-finger version of its VibraGuard anti-vibration glove. Reducing harmful vibration requires more than just padding. VibraGuard gloves incorporate layers of sponge rubber, fabric liner the unique “Gelfom” and a rugged nitrile impregnated fabric. Gelfom exceeds the tough new European Union material testing standard and all frequencies specified for ENISO 10819.
Full-fingered VibraGuard is ideal for those tasks involving vibrations at frequency levels greater than 300Hz. Up to this level, vibration is localised to the palm, however at greater frequencies, the effect of vibration is more focused in the finger area.
The full-fingered VibraGuard offers excellent protection at high frequencies as well as protection across a broad spectrum of frequencies. This level of performance is reflected in the European tests in which VibraGuard convincingly demonstrated broad range protection from 20Hz upwards.
Features Include: Grooves matching hand contours; Cut/abrasion-resistant Nitrile coat; Silicone free for minimal contamination; Machine washable

Graffiti eyesore no more with two new Septone products/font>
Graffiti costs the Australian public about $200million pa (excluding law enforcement & prosecution costs). While approaches such as strateigic plantings, lighting, legal murals and graffiti-resistant surfaces can reduce the problem, determined vandals will still cause problems to property managers. There has been a lack of effective and cost-efficient products available to combat graffiti.
Septone Products has developed a new range of products designed to rid any surface of graffiti. The two products, Tag Buster and Graffitigo, have undergone extensive testing and trials to ensure both are highly effective and suitable for a variety of applications.
Septone National Sales Manager, Mr Rob O’Neill, said Septone had already received an enormous amount of positive feedback from those who have used the product; a response he believes can be attributed to the “Tag Buster” is a light-duty graffiti remover specifically formulated to remove graffiti from surfaces that may be damaged by more aggressive products (eg soft furnishings; painted surfaces such as Colourbond & Perspex). “Graffitigo” is designed to remove graffiti from most surfaces. Due to its aggressive nature, it is more suitable for less sensitive and unpainted surfaces (eg brick, wood, concrete & metal).
Simply applied to the surface with a brush, left for 10-15 minutes before being removed with a clean rag and rinsed with water.
Tag Buster and Graffitigo are able to remove other stubborn stains including permanent markers, inks, crayons and lipsticks. Goliath Worklights /font>
Goliath Pro pro work lights offer gen set Dealers a complimenting product range. Goliath Pro has rated the best in an independent test of the top 20 pro work lamps.
Goliath Pro has lamps for applications ranging from the K3-16W to the powerful 55W unit providing about the same output as a 500W halogen.
Goliath lamps are designed to stand on the floor, or be mounted on a stand or wall. Their light is strong, yet soft, and unlike halogens only casts faint shadows. Goliath Pro hardly emit any heat allowing the lamp to be placed very close a worker.
The combination of amalgam tubes and reflectors provides the highest light quantity per Watt. The low energy tubes have a life of at least 8,000 hours (normal use). In case of 8 hours' daily use, more than 8 years will pass, before the tubes need to be replaced.
They can be used in aggressive environments, because they are equipped with an oil and acid resistant neoprene cable. You cannot get an electric shock as they have double insulation. The lamps can get no hotter then hand warm (no fire hazards). They are made of shockproof material and have a shock-absorbent rubber surface. Shindaiwa 352s/font>
Shindaiwa’s new 352s is a pro saw in a lightweight, compact package. The 35.2cc 2.5hp (1.9kW) units weighs only 4.3kg (9.5lbs). The new Shindaiwa saws is professional, lightweight and compact with heavy-duty aluminium crankcase, pro-style anti-vibration system, environmentally friendly, fully adjustable oil pump and inertia chain-brake, It has a two-ring piston with chrome-plated cylinder and with forged, three-piece crankshaft and connecting rods (open-caged needle bearings both ends).
The saw incorporates Shindaiwa’s new, easy-pull recoil starting system called “Sure Start”. Sure Start significantly reduces the force required when pulling the recoil rope. It uses unique two-spring technology to overcome cylinder compression allowing an operator to smoothly and easily pull the starter rope. Sure Start employs a large spring that basically acts as a ‘shock absorber’. So instead of needing a strong, fast pull that jerks the arm, pulling the recoil rope becomes an comfortable, effortless action.

Kohler 28hp Command Pro EFI/font>
Engineered Products Group (EPG) has released two new models in Kohler's "Command" range. The 18.6kW (28hp) engines feature "EFI diagnostic via Laptop Technology" that allows workshop technicians to monitor an EFI engine for correct operation. It also displays possible faults and allied remedy suggestions through a numerical code. Certain fixes to EFI engines can even be carried out from the keyboard of the laptop computer itself.
Future EFI developments include enabling the hook-up of engines (via a computer communication network) to a "remote" monitor (ie in an office elsewhere). Ultimately this should permit a Kohler EFI engine in, say, Broome to be repaired from a keyboard in Sydney.
Other EFI advantages include: easy starts (no choke), lower fuel consumption, powerful acceleration, excellent cold starting, fast throttle response, lower exhaust emissions, peak power and torque and easy diagnostics.
The engine is available in both vertical- (CV745-0007) and horizontal-shaft (CH745-0010) configurations from EPG: 31 Powers Road, Seven Hills 2147; (02) 9830 2200 F: (02) 9830 2383 W: www.epg.com.au.
