Murray Riders Return To Steel /font>
Murray has released a new range of all-steel construction Murray lawn tractors. The three new look units are available with cutting decks ranging from 101cm (40”) to 117cm (46”) and engines from 11.6kW (15.5hp) to 14.9kW (20hp).
The three-way deck is capable of mulching, catching or side-discharge operation, with anti-scalping wheels, to assist the deck balance for an even cut. Independent deck and blade engagement controls allow the rider to cut while reversing and cease cutting while crossing paths or rough terrain, without having to raise the deck.
Although a tractor-style machine the new units have a 30cm/12” turning radius. Dual response steering makes handling the tractors a breeze.
The new tractors feature a quick-stall safety switch, located under the seat. This stops the engine automatically, once the rider disembarks. Other features include an Easy Trim Deck for close trimming, the patented quick-level system, a fully enclosed engine for quieter operation. Options include a mulching kit, a rear bagger/catcher and swing back blades.

Grillo Motorised Wheelbarrow/font>
The Grillo 100 dumper is a new motorised wheelbarrow that takes the work out of material handling. Powered by a 3kW (4hp) B&S engine, the Dumper has a gear-driven differential with auto locking and hand-operated safety clutch. With one forward speed the Dumper 100 has comfortable operating speed of up to 3.6km/h (2.25mph). The Dumper has two trailing rear wheels while the main driving axle is fitted with tractor-style pneumatic tyres.
The barrow has a payload of 100kg (220lbs), which is twice its unladen weight of 52kg.
The Grillo unit is not just a labour-saving material handler but also eliminates the many Occupational Health & Safety problems surrounding traditional wheelbarrow use.
Grillo also manufactures a heavy-duty 200kg payload barrow.
Grillo products are distributed by: Inlon, 17 Catamaran Road, Ourimbah 2258 (PO Box 186, Taukley 2263); (02) 4389 1477 F: (02) 4389 1478.

Drain Cleaner – New Opportunity? /font>
One of the most common “Plans” expressed by Dealers in the 2003 PEA Dealer Survey was to “Diversify”. At the same time, PEA’s contractor readers are always on the look out for new services that they can offer to their customers.
The Cobra Drain Cleaner could be a useful tool to help achieve those objectives. The heart of the drain cleaner is a Bertolini 4300 psi pump (29600kPa) delivers 21L/min (4.6gal/min) flow through Mustang reverse jet drain cleaning nozzles. The combination of high-pressure and high-flow that makes the Cobra a powerful tool. However, the Mustang nozzle range includes unique tools suitable for most drain cleaning chores. The reverse jet nozzles are driven by the machine’s combination of flow and pressure. One, the “turbo root mulcher”, can even sever tree roots that have invaded drainpipes (a very common problem).
The unit is driven by a Honda 14.9kW (20hp) and mounted on a wheeled frame designed to fit easily through normal household doorways. It comes with a standard 60m ¼” sewer cleaning hose mounted on an inbuilt reel. ZTR 1400 Deutscher Mower /font>
Deutscher has released the ZTR 1400. The company had made a small number of similar units in the past and had been happy with their performance but dissatisfied with their appearance. To address this issue they commissioned a deign engineer to help them re-design the unit. The result is a mower that is “Deutscher tough” but with some smart design features.
Powered by V-Twins (either 13.4 kW (18hp) B&S InTek I/C, or 14.9kW (20hp) Honda) the ZTR1400 features a 140cm (54”) 3-blade, fabricated steel deck. The deep anti-clog deck is fully floating with a shock-absorbing feature to minimise fixed objects hit damage. The deck is 3mm fabricated steel with strengthening rib. The 25mm Cutting spindles use two large deep groove sealed ball bearings. An electric clutch allows the blades to be turned on and off with the flick of a switch. The blades automatically disengage when the hand brake is applied. A foot operated height-adjusting pedal makes the cutting height easily raised and lowered and is quickly activated to raise the deck to go over objects. Both foot pedal and footrest are adjustable.
Control arms are adjustable to suit various operator builds. Over travel devices are fitted to eliminate damage to the transmission The mower comes standard with a large 16L fuel tank and a large toolbox but is also available with dual fuel tanks when the toolbox is removed.
The mower uses two Hydro- gear IZT transmissions with give variable speed from 0 – 12.5 Kph.
An hour meter is fitted to monitor service intervals or time taken to complete mowing areas.
Deutscher manufactures its mowers at: 711 Creswick Road, Ballarat 3350; (03) 53394437 F: (03) 5339 4438 W: www.deutschermowers.com.au.

Billy Goat Debris Removal Systems /font>
Allpower Industries has released the Billy Goat debris removal range. The range comprises three wheeled vacuums a wheeled blower and an innovative truck/trailer debris loader.
The KD512HC vacuum is powered by a 5.5hp B&S InTek I/C. It has a 69cm (27”) intake giving an effective width of 74cm (29”). Debris is channeled through 4-bladed 6.4mm (1/4”) steel impeller that chops it to reduce the volume and maximize the amount collected in the 280L (8 bushel) catcher, while creating valuable mulch that can used for garden beds. The unit has large 30cm (12”) ball bearing wheels. It features easy on-the-go height adjustment and can clean 2650m2/h @ 3.8km/h (28,500 sq ft/h @ 2.4mph) or 3200m2/h @ 4.8km/h (34,300 sq ft/h @ 3mph).
KD512SP is a self-propelled version while the TKD512SP incorporates a chipper chute for branches up to 5cm (2”). All units have an optional on-board hose kit to clean difficult access areas.
Billy Goat’s “Quiet Blow” is powered by a 6.5hp B&S InTek engine that generates up to 270km/h (170mph) air velocity yet only makes 91-95dB(A) at the operator’s ear.
The “Truck Loader” adds another dimension to the hose kit concept attaching it to an 86cm (34”) high, 17.5cm (7”) diameter exhaust chute that can be easily fitted onto a truck or trailer. This allows debris to be loaded straight onto the vehicle that will be removing it from the site as the 36cm (14”) 4 –bladed impeller, powered by an 11hp B&S InTek engine, generates an airflow of 57m3/min (2000 cu ft/min).
Allpower Industries has more information on Billy Goat equipment at: 319 Middleborough Road, Box Hill 3128 (03) 9890 3344 F: 903) 9890 4249 E: sales@allpower.com.au.
