Testimonial

Briggs & Stratton has bought Victa from GUD Holdings. The sale is conditional on ACC Approval. Briggs & Stratton has been a long-standing supplier of four-cycle engines to the Sydney manufacturer. GUD MD Ian Campbell indicated a sale amount of about A$23million (which exceeded Vita’s book value). “In recent years Victa has restructured its operations and has withstood the challenge posed by Chinese engine manufacturers moving downstream into complete mowers,” he said. “Under Briggs & Stratton ownership Victa should remain competitive over the long-term and sustain its profitability. Victa’s brand strength can only add to the strength of a company like Briggs & Stratton.”
