Bynorm Conference

President & CEO Dan Ariens flew in from America to attend this year’s Bynorm sales conference in Melbourne. Dan provided a global OPE Industry perspective and underscored his company’s core strategic imperatives.

“I believe that an annual conference is an excellent platform to communicate company direction and reinforce the important role that each team member plays in it,” Dan told PEA. “It also strengthens our teamwork.” A key discussion point was the growing use of Bynorm’s “WebShop” where participation rates now exceed 20% of orders (by value). MD John lo Piccolo outlined WebShop enhancements that he was confident would keep Bynorm ahead of the Industry.

“There are still huge opportunities to improve ‘WebShop’ and deliver more valuable benefits to our customers such as our recent integration with Biscount Software allowing paperless ordering and invoicing,” he said. Staff were also introduced to new products such as: By-Link Saw Chain, Stens True Blue & True Fit V-belts and Kawasaki commercial engines.

Probably the happiest man at the conference was Victorian Area Manager Shane Taylor who won the company’s prestigious “Executive Sales Club Trophy”. Shane and his partner will be jetting off to visit Ariens/Stens facilities in Brillion, Wisconsin and Jasper, Indiana nest year before enjoying some time relaxing in the US city of their choice.
