Allpower Changes Hands
| A private investment group has bought Allpower Industries from Keith Billing. Keith has retired but will remain as a consultant for the next 12-months to assist with the transition. Greg Russell from the new owners will fill the role of CEO. All other Allpower staff will remain in their current positions, with Mick Billing General Manager and Shaun Cobbing National Sales & Marketing Manager.
“Our business specializes in successful import and distribution operations,” Greg Russell told PEA. “We focus on leading global brands (Numbers One, Two, or Three in any sector). With brands like Ariens, Billy Goat, Echo and Stiga, Allpower fitted our criteria perfectly.” Greg also believes that the “Allpower Garden Machinery Center” concept has great potential.

Mick Billing was enthusiastic about the changes. “I’m looking forward to working closely with Greg,” he said. “His group’s history is one of injecting the capital needed to take successful businesses in places like Australia, New Zealand, South-east Asia and UK ‘to the next level’.” Shaun Cobbing hinted that the first effects of this policy would become apparent later in the year.
Keith Billing is one of the few remaining OPE “Originals”, having been in the Industry for 46-years. “I’d like to thank all the people that I’ve known in this Industry during that time – especially the special group of people that is the Allpower Industries Independent Servicing Dealer Network.”
